how does a jet engine work

I own a '91 Ford Thunderbird. The battery & alternator test bad while in the car, but test good when taken out?

both the battery and alternator are brand new (less than a year old)
My battery warning light in the dashboard stays on. Even after I changed batteries.
What could be causing this?

since you have tested both the alternator and replaced the battery, ill say that it could be the wiring between the two. a coroded or damaged chargeback wire would leave you scratching your head. stsrt the car up and use a voltmater to test battery voltage
