Installing an alternator in a 49' Buick roadmaster?

I've recently purchased an old roadmaster, I need to install a modern battery, and alternator. What battery and alternator should I get? And is there any guide online I can be directed to?

the Chevy one wire is the easiest, just run the wire to the battery. Get a older one that uses a fan belt and not a serpentine... you will have to make your own bracket and figure out the belt length..
